So often individuals in these rural communities are unable to show themselves to the world. They are always the subjects of someone else's story, rather than the storytellers.
We worked with students in the Manyaleti communities to create a forum in which to tell their own stories and share their own pictures of life as they see it.
Their assignment: "If you were to explain your life to someone who has never seen it, what kids of pictures would be essential to show them?"
